All manufacturers of saw blades regularly visit lumber businesses and saw mills.
All lumber businesses – importers of construction lumber gather a huge pile of scrap in the shape of banding somewhere in their workplace. This banding is cut and piled (or pushed in a dumper) and under the influence of rain a stack of rusty waste is collected, mostly somewhere in the middle of the premises.
Our visit to the international wood fair gave us the idea that SWEED machines would be the solution to this waste problem. And it is (more than 20 machines have already been delivered to our customers), yet a SWEED machine can do more than just reduce waste banding.
Anything thin and long enough, or anything of a shape that impedes a production process can be reduced to manageable lengths with a SWEED chopper.
The chopper can be adapted in such a way that it goes in line with production velocity, production starts, etc.. There are lots of applications .
Production lines, chopping welds "on line" so that no glowing materials
have to be coiled up.
